Marie Wynants
She is usually behind the camera, but this time she stands in front of it, dressed in Sarda and lets her gaze on Los Angeles speak for itself. Marie Wynants has always been known for doing things her own way. With a raw and uncompromising style, Marie doesn't just capture images; she captures what it means to own your story and celebrate every imperfection. And she reminds us how amazing it looks to be yourself, without filters. No fear. Just attitude.

As a photographer, where do you draw inspiration from?
From things that are already slightly cracked. Imperfect people, awkward beauty, a strange kind of tension. I’m drawn to transience and melancholy, the beauty of things that don’t last. It’s romantic, but also brutal. You can feel that in how I build images. If it feels a bit off, I’m usually interested.

You’re always on the move. How do you balance style with comfort?
I don’t believe in suffering for style. If I can’t move, sit on the floor, run to a cab or sleep in it, I’m not wearing it. Comfort is the base, attitude does the rest.

Los Angeles is where she lets loose. The chaos, the light, the buzz. It feeds her need to explore, to push, to play. It's not just inspiration; it's ignition.
